Untitled 01Why is it that, as children, we can give without reservation? Without bias? Without concern for what will be done with our gifts, only concern that they are given? Why is this selflessness restricted to childhood, or should I say childishness? Those little Valentines that we give out to everyone in our third grade class as a token of our "I don't really know you" affection...Where does that idea go? Where has it gone? Will it ever be back? Has our swelling selfishness, our self-concern, completely obliterated any remnants of that ability to give for the sake of giving? To share for the sake of sharing?Untitled 01
